Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins said he would deputize thousands of citizens if the newly elected Democratic state leadership passes anti 2A legislation.

Lots of uproar in Virginia over the anti gun push by the new governor whose support is limited to the areas that border Washington, DC. Another example of the tail wagging the dog that we are seeing across the nation.

This is why the FED GOV'T should be 1/10 of what it is now and the STATES should be in control. "ALL politics is local" because it should be as close to the people as possible!!!!!!!!!

A few thousand can get rid of a 'bad-apple' before it becomes a national problem easier than a few million once it BECOMES a problem!!

Sounds like a great idea if the deputies are allowed to own the soon to be banned firearms and magazines. Not sure how that works. Well, I suppose if everyone is a deputy, they won't go around arresting other deputies for possession of illegal firearms.

And everyone gets a badge? That would be cool.

It's the 17th Amendment (well..., and the commerce clause.) Senators are too independent and no longer held to do the bidding of the state allowing fed to usurp too much power. Count the red states vs blue and you'll understand.

So when they pass their anti-gun laws, they will repeal the law that allows Sheriffs to deputize. Do these Sheriffs play poker will all cards up?
