I've had bikes since I was 14. Sold the last of them a few years after my son was born. That was hard to do, but no regrets. He has now expressed an interest in having a street bike. (He had a CRF 100 years ago.) Since he's apparently never going to get into shooting, I thought great, something for us to do together. I've been shopping for weeks and can't find anything. I set up a meet for him and my brother to go buy a bike today. Set it up on the dreaded Facebook marketplace. I couldn't go because of work. Long story short, after finalizing everything and letting the seller know this it was 180 mi round trip I wanted to be sure it wouldn't get sold before they got there, they departed. Sold 10 minutes before they got there.

When I lived in Houston years ago, I found a 68 firebird convertible in Memphis, had my brother check it out, agreed on price and date. I flew to Memphis, to find the back seat had been removed after my brother had inspected the car. I walked away and found a 64 VW van.

I've bought 3 dirt bikes in the matter of one week. Got lucky and they were good folks. Even though I had to rebuild the 50sx clutch first thing.
