finally got the car into a shop that will fix the problem. its gonna cost an arm and a leg to fix because two motor mounts are the reason the line got pinched. i had to put my truck up for collateral as i got laid off. so you might see a few guns, ammo and accesories up for sale.

That really sucks man. I was in a bind like this last year about this time.
You might check into renting a rolling engine hoist and buying motor mounts and installing them yourself.

I don't recall what kind of car he said he had, but you can do a lot of engine mounts with a jack instead of an engine hoist.

    This ^^^^^

What type of vehicle, shooter? I put in raised engine mounts on my jeep with a jack, a 2x4, and some basic hand tools. I did it by myself with some internet printouts. It was much simpler than I had imagined, but and extra set of eyes and hands would have helped a lot. I am decently handy, but by no means am I a mechanic. You can probably do it yourself.
