Red-eye gravy recipe now required...

Take the juice/broth from the ham, add a little strong coffee (some folks just use some Folgers crystals). And there you go. Pour onto hot homemade biscuits.

That’s true Difference between breakfast and supper gravy. lol. Guess we never lived close enough to the Sabine to acquire a taste for red eye gravy. I have only recently discovered I can eat a few grits without heaving...as long as they have a lot of cheese..japs and shrimp

Marinated duck in Folgers crystal is surprisingly good.

Saw some bbq rub recipes over the years containing ground coffee always got good reviews. Now regular old black liquid coffee is a great component in good mop and sop recipes. Here is one I really like.
Put some money in the back pocket a few times.
