With Election Season upon us, we at TSRA would like to introduce our new members and update our existing members on the TSRA Political Action Committee (PAC).
TSRA Legislative efforts began in 1981. The TSRA PAC is the largest state political action committee. It is a non-partisan, multi-candidate, State Election Commission-registered political action committee. It is solely dedicated to the Texas firearm industry and promoting, protecting, and preserving the shooting sports and hunting.
A PAC is an organization that combines voluntary contributions from people with similar viewpoints or goals with election-related activity spending. The TSRA PAC combines these funds to help support and elect candidates and/or bills that help champion pro-firearm, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-sportsman legislation.
The TSRA PAC works to educate elected officials, the media, and the general public on issues relating to the freedoms guaranteed by the Second Amendment and the Texas Constitution. We work year-round for gun rights, not just when the Legislature is in session. We continuously monitor federal legislation and court cases that might impact Texas and Texans.
Membership in the Texas State Rifle Association sends a strong, collective message to our elected officials. It tells them that TSRA members are an informed, involved, and politically-active group. Efforts from TSRA PAC, rather than from an individual, help bring stronger visibility to an issue by providing strength in numbers.
This year, these efforts are especially necessary to preserve the rights of law-abiding citizens like you. We are not only entering into the 2024 election, but we are driving the train across the state of Texas to prepare for the 2025 Legislative Session.
We depend on you for these efforts. Please help us continue to advocate for you by contributing to the TSRA-PAC today.

TSRA Executive Director and Acting Legislative Director
p.s. back in the day TSRA was a leading advocate for CHL getting passed in 1995 and more recently getting open carry in 2021.
