I have always traveled with my rifles unloaded, and cased in the trunk of my car. Normally to the range and back. I am not planing on changing my routine.
This is more of a curiosity post. I know with AR pistols, they are treated like handguns. AR pistols can be loaded and kept in the car or truck with driver.
Where can I find the rules for transporting a short barreled rifle in a car or truck? I know they cannot travel past state lines, without permission. Does anyone know them right now of the top of their head.
