Every year since my dad died and I inherited his Marlin 30-30 that he bought new in the very early 70’s it has taken a deer, or some other critter during the various hunting seasons.

This year it has taken a deer in its third state. Texas, Arkansas and now Pennsylvania.

Small doe, had a couple of minutes of legal light left so she got got.
Got another on opening day with the quiet 30-30 but no pic.

That's awesome. My JM stamped Marlin got donated to me by being pulled out from under my wife's grandmother's bed. I think about her all the time - need to kill a deer with it for her. If you knew her, she was one of the people you wouldn't forget.

Great way to respect memories of the past and build great memories for tomorrow.
