I found a Justin Verlander rookie card in my old collection. I put in a single-card glass case. He’s obviously doing very well. Any tips for this potential investment? Get it graded? Put in a safe and hope he gets to the Hall of fame then sell?

I’d ensure it’s protected & safe. In the card & memorabilia crowd you might have something. My Brother-in-law is into that stuff big time. I’ve been amazed at some of the values on various items. I’d think a Verlander rookie card would have some potential? He’s almost a HOF guarantee.

It definitely has POTENTIAL to say the least. Gotta see if his career gets better or worse

The collectible card market crashed years ago.....ask me how I know.
In the early to mid 80s....they made so many....that none will be worth anything 100 years from now. Unless they are early century tobacco cards up to the late 70s.....they are worth the card-stock that they are printed on.

That seems logical. I’d think that cards such as rookies would still stand out from a regular ole card. Just gotta wait and see if he becomes a legend
