Haven't seen FoxNews use a big font for this particular op-ed.

    Can't talk religion.....admittedly.

For those who can't get impeachment straight in their minds. The house is the grand jury returning an indictment. Then it goes to the Senate (court) which is where it is tried. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is the judge and the Senate members are the jury. Want to guess the outcome?

Again, that is opinion without evidence. Setting foreign policy has been the right of every president. As much as the democrats like to spin it, and it seems your CT also goes along with, no aid was stopped in gaining dirt on anyone. Even Ukraine has agreed that there wasn't any pressure from Trump. Ukraine got their money and missiles and what has Trump gotten in return? Please, tell me. There was every evidence that there was corruption during the Obama administration, and given that evidence it should be investigated fully.

But that's okay, bury your head from the truth, and look for others to make up your mind for you. I will never say that Trump is perfect, far from it, but at the end of the day I believe he believes in America, and that should be a good thing for all America.

I suspect that those honest and thoroughly engineered terse and succinct paragraphs published in Christianity Today just might change the direction of out nation.

I could never vote for any of the democrats as a consequence of my rational mind.
Even more forcefully let me say....
I could never vote, a second time, for Mr. Trump as a consequence of my moral compass.

That op-ed reflects precisely that which troubles my deepest soul.

Please all, read and assimilate every word and then opine.

My prayer is that Mr. Trump graceously steps down such that I can offer my support and cast my vote for a proper and ethically admirable conservative man or woman.

My wife is also profoundly inspired and vivified by that editorial, as will be many others.

    Goodnight

Good luck in your endeavor in finding an ethically, constitutionally conservative person that can't be swayed by corruption, because I don't think a politician like that exists. I'm sure there were many that started out like that, but politics has a way of breaking down that fabric. Trump likes the fame and limelight, but I don't think he can be bought. He may not have the same views as our founding fathers, but from what I can see is that he truly loves America and truly wants America to be great.

This was supposed to be directed at HK. The quote did not work.

This and you're next few post show once and for all the depth of of your sheer ignorance and stupidity.
Seriously, holding up Democrats as paragons of religious virtue and condemning Trump on the same grounds????

You have got to be kidding. But sadly you are far too delusional for that.

Requesting that a company be investigated which had previously been suspected of laundering government money to individuals before providing large amounts of money to said government is not a crime.

The fact that a presidential candidates son sits on the board of the same company and the presidential candidate had previously required that the prosecutor looking in to the actions of said company be fired or no aid money would be sent does not give said company a free pass. Your claims of malfeasance only make sense if you completely ignore the history of the company and the Ukrainian governments attempts at influencing the 2016 election.

It’s also extremely unlikely that opinion piece will sway anyone. You find it extremely pertinent because it reinforces a belief you already have. To everyone else, it’s just more of the same.

    Granted.

I read the article and felt only disappointment that a once meaningful outlet would publish it.
Plus, the author claimed it was out there to encourage discussion and the page supports no comment capability (nor did I see any comments and will NOT resort to FB for such discourse.)

Damn, what a difference a day makes. I'm just wondering why he hasn't change CT's name yet.

But there was no editorial on Trump's impeachment in the pages of Christianity Today, the flagship news site for moderate evangelicals.

“It's very much a political story, and it's hard to find a uniquely Christian angle to it, which is what would be required for us to comment on it,” said Editor in Chief Mark Galli. “Certainly there are ethical issues at play, but there are ethical issues at play in every political story. If we commented on each one, we'd be Politics Today.”

CT. So Irrelevant I forgot they are even a thing. Also i didnt get past the sanctimonious BS lies the dems are still trying to push.

Look, Trump is a Buffoon. Peroid. He cant keep his mouth shut. Hes not a conservative. He is however the greatest nominator of conservative judges and justices in my lifetime if not history. He has tried to keep promises and kept more than any other president in my adult life.

He says F YOU to the left when they call him racist xenophobic etc, which is what weve been clamoring for in a leader for decades.

Did I mention the judges, that is his legacy. That and the presidents ability to twist arms are really the only reasons to vote for president now days. Welcome to the necessity of divided gooberment. Where the judicial branch is the fire break from times of insanity when one dysfunctional party controls the other two and becomes total retards.

If I cant vote for the shining example of a christian principled conservative/libertarian god incarnate I will vote against the evil of abortion till and after birth on demand a the demonic entity that is socialism or worse.

That's the story CT should have wrote. That's the way all my fellow students felt at Grand Canyon College studying religion when I was there. That's the way all the people in my church felt back then, the way I'm sure Billy Graham felt and the way his son feels today.

You can not control others, much less have the right to judge others which is the first thing religious pretenders always forget. Look at Mayor Pete run his mouth. Its hypocrisy at best and Americans hate hypocrites more than socialist bastards.

If you never have your Ideal Candidate make it to election day then you damn well better make sure they have a chance next time or the evil that is the left will ensure it never happens. I hope the few hundred thousand folks who actually consider that crap as marching orders also consider what will happen If the left takes power and not cause tthm to protest and stay home. Once the electoral college is neutered or abolished it's all over but the fighting, as in civil war. We abandon a republic in favor for mob rule 50 plus 1 democracy. Not 50% plus 1 of the country but 50% plus one of those who vote on any issue. The end of the country because there is only one recourse left at that point. Submit or start shooting.

So CT, you are ignorant at best. Something that afflicts most supposed Christians today who forget that the whole point is that they are woefully inadequate and imperfect beings who are in no position to judge others in the first place, infact not judging is something of a commandment is it not. Your relationship with God is a personal one. It's how you will be judged in the end.

Damaging the one buffoonish bastard who can stop the evil at the gates because you dont like his tone is madness. It is his tone because he hasn't done anything illegal. And remember his judgement will be a personal one as well. Your opinion matters not. Allowing the expansion of America's Holocaust by not attempting to stop the left, well that may be something to consider.

I read it and it's more liberal spin on what is happening. I guess they supported Bill Clinton and his dalliances. They say they are above the fray and then try and sell what the liberals believe. CT has gone MSM.

It's not my job to question another persons moral compass (read that as sexual habits). His USA compass is dead on.

How about dropping your snoot down out of the clouds and joining us mere mortals.

The President was elected to run the USA. Not be the head preacher.

While there are things I cannot condone about Trump, I can find no reason (Biblical or otherwise) that voting for any of the Democratic field would be a better moral choice as a Christian. Quite the opposite, in fact. Liberals are quite hostile to Christianity, if you haven't noticed.

I did not vote for Trump in the primaries. But when it comes to 2020, I will choose the better option even though not perfect.
