    The author is correct in his assumption, though. The bill og rights was in direct response to the anti-federalist movement. The antis were, in fact, the most distrustful of the new centralized government and were afraid a new king would rule us all.

    I've read both the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers. Boy what a dry read. There is no mistaking, both sides of this issue were pro-gun.

    The thing is, the anti-federalists were right... There weren't nearly enough constraints put in place, and now the federal government is far too powerful.

    Hind sight being 20-20, yeah, they were right. BO is exactly what they were afraid of. I just hope that the federalist were correct as well and the system corrects itself.
