If you are in the Austin area he is buried here too. " He finally retired from the Rangers in 1949 and lived in Austin, Texas until his death on July 10, 1955 from the complications of a stroke. Captain Frank Hamer is resting in the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin, Texas." Just off Hancock drive between MoPac and Shoal Creek.
