Kind of an idea, or suggestion thread on beer, and what are some good suggestions or your favorite beer with certain foods. A good beer, or the right beer can compliment a meal quite well.

    Out here by the lake!
Pretty limited out here. We have been drinking Shiner Ruby Red Birds because its available. As far as Mexican beer I'll drink a Bohemia if they are available with or with out food. Most of the beer I really enjoy would require a trip into the big city.

Got sick on warm Budwieser @ a family reunion as a kid & refuse it still to this day. My grandmother was a Schlitz drinker Its what I drank after cutting her grass. Drank a lot of Old Style in my teens along with Miller High Life & the occasional Stroh's.

Last summer, I bought one of those Shiner Sampler six-packs, and it had the Ruby Red Bird in it. That one became an instant favorite. Normally, I don't care for fruit flavored, or infused beers, but that one really surprised me. Almost the perfect beer for the afternoon after working outside in the hot sun. The Day Quencher was also a nice enjoyable beer. The Black Lager, goes very well with a steak and baked potato.

But the Ruby Red Bird was my most favorite out of that six-pack.

I do like a really cold Corona with my chili. Frankly, Corona goes well with a lot of foods. Really good with Mexican food too.

And beer taste better IMO out of a bottle rather than a can.
