I shot this young Nilgai Bull antelope late January of this year at my in-laws ranch in Brooks County, South Texas.
    I used a scoped Yugo M48 8mm Mauser

I wanted to shoot a Trophy Bull earlier in the A.M. but how am I going to put a 600+ pound beast in back of the truck? :ohnoes: It was only me and my younger son that day.

    NICE!
Man, you are in for some good eating. It's some really lean meat and really good tasting. I got to hunt on the Kenedy Ranch a few years back and got to shoot one. Yeah it's really hard to get them in the back of the truck--but there were three of us, so it wasn't to bad.

You got right my friend. Very good eating. But nothing compares to Scimitar-horned Oryx. The best exotic meat I've tasted.

Nilgai are starting to be seen very often at the in-laws ranch. They tell me that they are seen in groups of 20 at times. Wow!
