In East Texas, I predict the early part of summer is going to be hot and really humid, with the end of summer being much drier.

Mosquitoes are going to be bad this year.

From my non-scientific research, southeast Texas weather is very similar to the coastal South Carolina weather, hot and humid summer.
As far as the mosquitoes, my wife is a magnet to them, therefore, they leave me alone.

    Let me rephrase that.

Mosquitoes are going to be really, really bad this year!

~90° warmest its been so far this year, mostly rain and then some more rain.

Didn't get cold enough over winter, bugs are gonna be bad. On the plus side mosquitoes don't seem to like me.

You do realize that a good part of the panhandle is part of the mexican desert. Mild winters and hot as hell summers. Dry as a baptist meeting and windy as cnn.

I noticed years ago, any year we had a mild winter, the bugs were usually pretty bad that spring and summer.
