Anyone have experience with them? I'm thinking of getting a .22 for precision shooting, just for fun. I've looked at the Tactical Solutions rifles on grabagun, and the Savage 64 I think it is. Both are a bit pricier than the average but I don't care about that, with a really good scope it's going to double in price anyway. You rimfire folks give me some advice here.

I love mine (top in picture). I've "twinned" it with a Ruger 22 Magnum in their OD green stocks. Though the scope on the TacSol looks black in the picture, it is really kind of a dark bronze and really looks good with the OD green receiver and barrel.
As to performance - the TacSol has two recoil springs guiding the bolt, where the Ruger 10/22 has just one. The TacSol will feed almost anything, and I've found it to be more accurate than any 10/22 I've owned.
The receiver is aircraft grade aluminum and just seems to be better finished than the Ruger.
Takes 10/22 mags though, which is convenient and has never been a problem.
I'm a fan and think it is worth the price increase over the Ruger.

Hooo boy. Rimfire is it’s own world. Precision as in benchrest at 50yds or precision as in analog trainer for centerfire long range precision?

Their barrels have hung off a lot of 10/22s and Mk series pistols and have a legendary following.

Kidd outside of San Antonio is an equal competitor.

Well, that changes everything. I'm not a fan in any manner of the Ruger 10/22. I've had 4 of them and hated every one of them, especially those rotary magazines. So I'll keep looking at others. Thanks, folks.

Depending on your flavor of precision, a CZ457 is exceedingly accurate out of the box.
