I understand that the Sweetwater gun club has a silhouette match happening tomorrow.
Can someone tell me where the range is located in Sweetwater please?
I have a general idea, but since I'm coming from Slaton I want to make certain I don't get lost.
    Many thanks in advance.

The address is 125 Avenger Field Rd, Sweetwater, TX 79556
The Club House is on the South side of the road, and the Gate to the Range is on the North side of the road. The Range is at the North end of the Airport Runway, just drive through the gate and follow the road past the end of the runway and you can't miss the range. There used to be a sign at the end of the runway warning to watch for low flying aircraft.

Great bunch of folks at Sweetwater. Been quite a few changes in the last 17 years but the targets are still the same. Let us know how you did.

Well it was a fun match. It was worth the drive for me. IHMSA rules made it easy for me to shoot three categories. I had my Ruger MKIII Target with Fastfire III sight (did fairly well with nineteen hits), Ruger MKII Government with iron sights (not so well with 10 hits), and my brandspankin'new CZ 457 with the huge 4.5-14x40 scope was good for 28 hits. Unfortunately for me, they didn't have the rifle targets out so I was shooting at the larger, pistol-sized targets.
There were six other shooters and a good, friendly bunch of shooters they were. I felt very welcome there.
They've got a very nice setup and I look forward to going back. The weather was excellent with an overcast sky, the slightest of breezes, and just a touch of chill in the air.

Sounds like some pretty good shooting for a seventeen year layoff. Glad you had a good time. They must have had some rain lately, the range is much greener than I remember it.
