Looking at a browning superposed lightning 26”

What does lightning mean? Is it a grade?
Or does it mean it points really fast?

The Lightning historically weighs less. Thinner forearm, shorter or narrower barrel profile. When was it made? Post War the 26 1/2" was a Lightning and the 28" was standard.
