should i shoot it out of my rifle?
    or will it get stuck?
i have heard that it is super awesome with a rifle, as in quieter than a pellet rifle, (ofcourse it wont cycle...)
and then other folks whining about ti getting stuck. also onthe box it apparently says not to use it in a rifle.

I shoot them in the back yard all the time with a cricket 22. They never get stuck. I wouldn't suggest shooting them in a semi auto but a bolt action or revolver is fine. Maybe the bullet got stuck because they didn't clean their gun.

There is Colibri. 420 FPS. Snap-fingers noise.
There is Super Colibri. 590 FPS. Clap-hands noise.
    https://www.aguilaammo.com/rimfire/#Specialtab

Both are 20 grain bullets. Primer-propelled no-powder rounds.

Somewhere I do recall reading that the Colibri may not have enough "oomph" to make it down a rifle-length barrel.

    They are super quiet.

Given the choice I'd buy the Super Colibri rounds, as the lesser power Colibri too gentle to be useful for game larger than a mouse. Super Colibri has taken squirrels for me.

In the city I'd opt for my air rifle. Less illegal, if that makes any sense.

    ..................
In real life, in the country, I shoot the squirrel vermin devil-spawn creatures with the CCI 720 FPS "quiet" rounds out of my Gemtech M.I.S.T. bolt gun with the overkill Leupold 3-18. I can choose which eye to hit.
    Two sounds:
Primer strike click and squirrel carcass thud.
    :)

You trying to win the necropost award?

    Hmmmmmm......
    :)

    Good question???

Don't EVEN recall how I found that post.
Musta been searching for something obtuse.
Did not note the date, obviously.

Did strike a cord with me, though....as I was just having a Colibri vs. Super Colibri Aguilla discussion in a gun shop Saturday three days ago!

They are both round that are still obtainable and are huge fun to shoot.

I'm writing on my Mac Air from my hot-tub after a couple Community Mosaic Imperial IPAs. Excellent Dallas-based ale.

I shot a possum in my garage with Super Colibri chambered in a Ruger Single Six.

The possum kept coming into the garage at night to eat cat food.

I removed it humanely many times by sweeping it out the door with a broom.

When the critter climbed on a cabinet and shat all over it, my tolerance for wildlife ended.

The first shot hit him center of mass. It was not a kill shot. The critter jumped off the cabinet, and I got another shot.

That shot hit him just as he hit the floor, and it hit a neck artery.

Bright red blood spewed in every direction. Most of it hit my wife's car.

The possum bled out and I tossed him into a vacant lot nearby for the buzzards.

It was one hell of an effort to wash the blood off the walls, garage floor and my wife's car.

    Be well.

I am bumping this thread. I was looking for this ammo today and cannot find it anywhere. Midway shows it as discontinued on their site.

Are they not making this anymore? I have used out of rifles and pistols for years with great results inside 25 yards. It is more quiet than any high powered pellet rifle I have shot also.

Anybody know where I can aquire some boxes possibly?

I got a couple of boxes at the local Academy a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea what to do with them. I need to put some in my revolver and see how quiet they are.

It's louder out of a pistol than a rifle. Out of a rifle all you hear is the hammer drop and then the projectile hit the target. No report at all. I have been able get hits on soda cans consistently out to 25 yards. After that it drops fast. It's fun for indoor plinking as well just have to set up a decent back stop or use a pellet trap.

HOLY SHIZZ. Got bored, put a couple in an ancient bolt-action .22 rifle - unbelievably quiet. Put a couple of cans in the back yard and whipped out the revolver. Still quieter than my pellet rifle. TreyG - you have created a monster. I gotta find more!
