@Hoji, surprisingly slow cyclic rate. I think it is slower than the STEN.....definitely slower than an MP5...or any of the others I have. Softer shooting too.......as far as accuracy, I didn't do anything other than spray for function testing......one magazine I thought the spring may have been weak, It was having trouble with the last round functioning consistently but it turned out one of the feed lips were bent. The three magazines I have all function perfectly now.

The first few of mags I was concerned about welds holding and the thought the rear cap coming off in into my face was present. The rear cap retaining ring was mangled pretty bad when they demilled the rifle. The first round was a single shot with only 1 round in the mag. I gradually increased the round count in the magazines as I checked the welds after every magazine fired. The stock when extended does lock into the rear cap and provides some support to the cap.I will parkerize it and call it done...

It’s a real shame it’s a post sample, as it looks great & sounds like built right.

Strange how this thread reminded me of all the parts kits that Northridge Gun Parts use to have at gun shows in the early 80’s. And so many of those were saw cut back then. Young guy I worked with was a Sten building fool back then. IIRC they were just rewelding parts kits. He offered me one for a then sweet deal, I thought it was a trap and passed.

One thing I've noticed with the Sterlings is the demill teams tended to get happy with the torches because they didn't understand the parts were brazed onto the receivers. Rather than heating them up and pulling off the bits, then just destroying the receiver tube, they just started cutting and hoped for the best. Same with the Brens where the ATF torch monkeys slagged the barrel nut slot or the mag catch. Makes me ill to think of the number of historically significant artifacts that were destroyed by wrongheaded policies.
