    is this safe any good? horrible shipment damage related review at costco.

    is this the same as the Sovereign 36? I went looking and came across the StackOn.. did StackOn buy Sovereign?

    Dont know for sure. You have to compare apples to apples of course.
    This is the one I got, gave like 289 or 299 for it. Got to the store at 0620 and was the third safe sold that morning.

    Good deal. My kid got one the next year (last year)

    If you are unsure of thickness of gauges, 10 gauge is approx. 1/8" thick. The higher the gauge number the thinner the metal.

    They put all their safes on a drastic reduction for black friday. Listed at 899 and more like 815 at HomDepot. My guess is that it would be in the 699-749 range.

    Just guessin though.

    I get that, I meant what is a reasonable gauge 10 or 12? most mid sized safes I see online seem to be 12 Gauge. I wouldn't go up to 14.

    in other words is a 12 Gauge safe considered good? or junk as some suggest here.
