    Bit confused ( not unusual I am told).....do you draw the blade across the stone in a front to back motion or from back to front? Thanks
    Back motion. Just back motion. Let’s take something basic like a clip point chisel grind. Feel the bevel, move back, find another starting point, move back. Each side getting equal treatment

    It’s something better to show. It really is a feel thing. Even hollow ground blades have a bevel you can feel. Clam shell was just cool to lean because it doesn’t have that and it teaches you to keep every movement the same.
