I rate Bullpup rifle designs right up with Scout rifles. Pretty damn useless!
I gave a clear use for my wife. She can't support a rifle comfortably, but she can clear rooms with a bulpup. They have a purpose.

Useless? Full length barrel in a balanced maneuveral package. I get if you don't like the way they look. I can respect that, but saying they're useless is asinine

I have no major issues with plastic guns, I just think they are overpriced.
Good guns in general are expensive. New or old, polymer or wood, aluminum or steel.

Hell unless you get real lucky, a well worn Ethiopian import M1 carbine will run you close to $1500

It's just my honest opinion about those two types of firearm's. Both are useless to ME, I'll never own or use one.

That's the great thing about being an American / Texan. We are able to buy / build the style of firearm's that we like. Kind of like going to Braum's, you can get any flavor that you like.

When I shoulder a bullpup it's like shouldering an old pencil barrel mini 14. Just doesn't feel right.

That said, with my fricking shoulder I may have no choice but to get an ass heavy weapon.

I like the ass end being heavy. It allows me to shoulder and look down the optic one handed leaving the other free to scratch my balls.

I have never really wanted a bullpup style rifle, mainly due to cost, but I am interested in shouldering one and seeing if it works for me. I do like the AR platform, but this could be a sweet little gun for HD...

    I'm a maybe...

I'm more interested in these than either the Tavor, or the Steyer AUG.

I have, perhaps naively, rather high hopes that the trigger/aftermarket trigger situation might be a bit more workable than the above mentioned, sledghammer/creepy/painful triggers.
