Well in a perfect world, I'd be able to stop by the LGS and pick up a can without any fuss at all. As it is, there's a lot of time waiting, plus the money, just to get something that literally only makes it more comfortable for me or my family to shoot. I think too many people have been incorrectly 'trained' by Hollywood to believe a silencer makes the gun, well, silent. They don't. They make them quieter, but they're still relatively noisy. I still wonder how Hollywood came up with the 'pew' noise for a silenced pistol.
My experience with silencers is disappointing, anyway. It's not like in the movies or even close..............a whisper or whoosh and the bad guy falls out. Rifle cans are even worse. I don't want to bother with them. You can fiddle with cans if you want to, but to me, the results are laughable.
The adapter that turns a filter into a silencer is exactly the type of firearms accessory that I've rejected from day one of my shooting sports. I pay my taxes without chicken shxt deductions, obey traffic and the myriad of other laws, reject these "grey area" sonic and "rock & roll" shoot faster parts, and extremely short barrels like the plague.
NO!
Hell NO!
NO Interest!
Get it away from me!
Wouldn't take one if they were free.
Wouldn't have one if you paid me to take it.
