Another issue I just found. The new xenforo likes to eat links. It looks like it automatically formats most things it sees as a link with [[]url unfurl="true"] tags (remove the []... it's the only way I can get it to not eat the text, even with formatting off).

And it incorrectly tries to wrap a lot of them with [media] tags instead. At a minimum, the default should be [[]url unfurl="false"]

and I can't even get it to not eat this post.

How do I stop the email notifications that started today?
I have gone through my preferences and unchecked everything, and saved.
I've easily deleted 100+ email notifications today.
Testing. Cam, did you get an email notification for this reply?

ETA - I'm with sis at the doctor so it'll be a while before I can look at this again.

FYI had to do an IP swap over, sorry if another site loads, sharing IP's there is nothing that can be done on that but it should be fast. Clear cache or flush DNS if you need it. Too many email issues on this other IP.
Well, thanks for a glimpse of "Bayou Shooter", anyway.
I'd say we are way wittier here, though they did have some smart avatars.
    Our chicks are hotter.
    We have more guns.
    Ammo needed; both sites.

Same thing here. Rechecked preferences and stuff, nothing looked "wrong". But I may have missed something...again.

I will have to have programmer guy check the preference in the database, we can't see your preferences, and yes I used to get the email kickbacks from your acct due to our IP being blocked by ATT and SBCGLOBAL and you must get a ton, stay tuned and he will check.

The server folks fixed the bayou issue and setup a dummy site from now on any changes like that will revert to a site is down but coming back msg.

I believe that I have found a hack as far as email notifications.
I'm opening threads as I get the notifications, going to the top and selecting "unwatch", then select "watch", being sure to select "watch without email notifications".
    I believe this is working.

Keep us posted on this. I have an old @sbcglobal.net email address and am getting flooded with notifications too. I have gone in and turned them all off to no avail.

As of now, my notifications have dropped off by probably 95%, after doing what I stated.

@texcross, my settings were set as such before the merge, and were set as such after. Just as CAM did, I 'UNwatched each thread I was notified about, then clicked "Watch thread" and reset it to "with email....., then reset it to "without email...., A multi step process. My actions were done on pc/laptop. Others may have been on phone.

Haven't verified with my email inbox as of yet this AM, but the above actions are stemming the flow a bit.

If you all have a bunch of threads you want to stop notifications for, you can also try this.

    Click on "Watched".

Check the box of the threads you want to disable emails for.

Click "Manage Watched Threads" and then click "Disable email notification"
