We call them sewer roaches in AZ. Because when the city sprays the sewers you house becomes under siege. Fraking roach air force.

12 gage bird shot will take them down. A bofors is a bit much for individuals and too slow a rate of fire for an effective antiaircraft barrage.

I have taken them out of the air with a wakizashi( small katana) very satisfying to see two halves fall from the air.

    Out here by the lake!
A contractor was out trimming the easement power lines. My gimp ass is no long able to trim the tree off my roof, so I slip the lead man $100.00 to take care of me. It's like they shook the tree roaches into my attic ridge vents.

My wife grew up with them, but is still supper freaked out by them

No. That is Texan for tree roaches.as in 2-3” long flying cockroaches.

Ok, add to my nightmare fuel. I've only seen cockroaches here in the PNW one time. Nasty bugs. Tree inhabiting 2-3 inch long roaches... guess I'll be carrying a can of Raid when I'm out too

In Phoenix we have 5 inch long flying black beetles with huge pinchers.

Pics or it didn’t happen. :what:
Happened before cell phones had cameras.
Freaked me out. Called a friend that is a bug guy. Told me not to worry, glove caught most of the venom and asked if he could have the glove.
Next day there was a hole rotted in the finger of the glove where it bit through it.
