So I have used an Apple Watch for the last several years but they don’t tend to last for me. I am pretty hard on them. I’m looking for something to help tract workouts, get notifications and weather updates but most of all something that is durable and water proof. What have y’all tried?

My wife is a big Garmin fan, a lot of that is because they've always kinda catered to runners. She's an ultra distance runner and not many devices can last long enough to track a 100km race.

Google DC rainmaker for the most up to date reviews. If you’re a swimmer most smart watches suck at tracking swims, whether laps or open water.

I just tried the latest fitbit and wasn't impressed. It didn't work hardly at all with iphone notifications and it couldn't/wouldn't control play/pause, next, previous on my iphone.

I bought it when the 5+ came out. So maybe 4 yrs now. I love mine but mainly use it to track my biking fitness and sleep habits. I have a scratch on the crown but you can barely see it.

My wife uses a Pebble that she's had for something like 7 years. It looks pretty much like a normal watch, even using standard watch bands, but does all the typical smart watch stuff. Battery life is also excellent on it. I'm surprised the battery even still works after all these years.

A few years ago Fitbit bought Pebble and completely ruined them. They turned off the support servers and made thousands of perfectly functional watches inoperable. Of course there are work arounds... The old Pebbles are supported now only by a few enthusiasts that still love them.

I have an apple watch and I also use the WHOOP fitness tracker. Hands down for just my fitness stuff I only use the WHOOP. The overall cost is lower and its super durable. I haven't had any issue with it after a year and a half of use. It tracks my workouts better and gives me a larger breakdown of information than I ever got with my apple watch. Plus there is no screen to smash like i've done to every apple watch.
