The lower the better for loading my 650lb bike alone. Also a general purpose trailer.
Hinged loading ramp would be nice but not required.

    1,000lb min. load rating
    9' L x @6.5' W clear interior
    Wood or expanded metal deck
    4 wire flat light connection
1-7/8" or 2" ball is fine

I have a sparse but well built (meaning not by me), home made single rail bike trailer that could be part of the deal.

EDIT: current tow vehicle is a 2013 FWD, 3.5L Highlander.

Its probably out of your budget, but my dad just put his 16' enclosed trailer up for sale. I think he's asking $6500 for it.

Do you have a local welding program? They might be willing to make you one if you provide the material.
SHSU does and will. Had a buddy had one built just before Rona hit. Caveat though, it took them forever to finish it. Like 3 years. But now that it's done, he has a huge custom powder coated trailer to haul his equipment around for about $1,000.

The prison system makes BBQ pits, trailers, etc. I've seen examples that looked as good as any commercial product and others that looked like I made it and I've never laid even an 1" of bead.

I did some searching and couldn't find a SHSU welding program, got a link?
