Does anyone know where, if possible, you can go to shoot on public land in Texas? I used to live in California and, despite their terrible laws, they have public lands where you can go to shoot however you want.

    Helotes!
I believe I read once that 98% of land in Texas is privately owned. The rest belongs to the state or is Federal property. If you want to know which state parks you can hunt in, look here: Texas Parks & Wildlife Department | Hunting & Wildlife.

And it's great that California allows its residents to shoot on public land, too bad it also practically doesn't allow them to own any guns!

    Cheers! M2
