I never would have thunk it:

After smoking cannabis, users with OCD reported it reduced their compulsions by 60%, intrusions, or unwanted thoughts, by 49% and anxiety by 52%.

There are clear benefits to cannabis, and folks that say otherwise are not looking at the science. That said, there are clear social issues with marijuana, as seen in states that have legalized it like CO, so it's not as simple as legalizing pot.

Personally, CBD has been a benefit to both my dog and me. It's significantly helped my dog's joint issues and anxiety during fireworks and thunderstorms, and for me, it's been a huge boon to my arthritis and sleeping patterns. And while many folks still think CBD will "mess you up", my experience after using regularly for over a year isn't about what I feel (high, drunk, messed up, etc.) but rather what I don't feel or feel much less of (joint pain, restlessness, insomnia). But only use CDB products from a QUALITY source, grown and made in the USA, and independently tested. I prefer Lazarus Naturals products, available online. Hat tip to Mailman!

I'd like to be able to use marijuana recreationally, like I can have a drink and a cigar occasionally. But at this point, I won't use it until it is legal in my home state and I can use it at home. On a recent trip to CO, I passed on the opportunity to "partake", because I have no idea how hard it would hit me, and won't put myself in that position while on the road.

Like so many things, with the good will come the bad (over-use, addiction, driving/operating machinery while impaired), and the downfalls of those behaviors. But I honestly don't see it as being that much worse than alcohol...

    YMMV

God put it on the earth for something. If you can pull a bud off a plant and dry it, smoke it and it has medicinal benefits it’s not a drug.
Most of the pills people choke down on a daily basis because their doctor told them it’s going to help them are full synthetics that are not intended to cure anything just maintain a lifetime patient and line the pockets of big pharma.
Look at all the morbidly obese people rolling around the store in a motorized cart wearing a mask...this is from eating like shit and not exercising. Who’s outlawing cheeseburgers and twinkies? How about cigarette smokers? You all know where I’m going with this. It’s an age old debate.

I've got good results with RE-live 1800mg CBD oil. Colorado grown. All USA.

About an hour before bed. Sleep like a drunk baby.

I will add, it’s not just about smoking marijuana, there are numerous natural medicines and oils that can be made from it. It’s not just for getting high.

Legalized weed =reduced rights! Just ask big pharmaceutical & the politicians in big pharmaceutical pockets. Really hard to tax a weed!

To my knowledge, this is all being taxed by the State of Oklahoma.

In the early 70s there was a guy that I hung out with occasionally that was prone to irrational outbursts. He was the son of the local high school art teacher that was 'kinda-weird' herself. He was tolerable when he smoked some weed but was what was called 'moody' back in the day.

He went full wack job later in life and became a full tilt SOCIALIST.

I saw a few of his posts on social media (I always wondered if social media is associated with Socialism) and he was ranting about how the US should be communist to make all things FAIR. He was very angry about everything.

I think weed calmed him and he should have 'STAYED ON HIS MEDS'!
