    fRIENDS,

IF any reader of this forum has a 9X19mm semi-auto by SMITH & WESSON of the 1960s or (preferably the EARLY) 1970s.

    Such a semi-auto 9mm pistol will probably be a S&W Model 39 or 59 but I will also
"look at"/consider purchasing other S&W (and/or other makes of) semi-auto pistols of that general era.

Please include the pistol's model, serial number & requested cash price in your first email response. Photos would be nice but are not required.
Your name, location & a contact phone number would be nice, should you choose to include that information in your emailed response.

    Thank You, Tex

GT Dist in Austin still has some 5903's that were LEO trade ins from Oklahoma Bureau of Investigations. Very good shape, extra clean. I think for $329.

    Davetex,

Les than 15 minutes ago, at about 1350 hours 06JAN21, I finally "got through to" a NICE lady at the GT store in Austin.
(I was ON HOLD for over 20 minutes, as the GT store is VERY BUSY, according to the lady.).

She said that the store has NO USED S&W pistols in 9x19mm or .40S&W of any sort, right now. = ALL used S&W pistols WERE SOLD several days ago. = She said, "Check back next week."

    yours, satx

Picked one up (it takes forever in that store!).....now, where is the best place for mags? Only came with one. I need at least several more.

    scgstuff,

OLD S&W mags are usually EASY to find & NOT $$$$$$$ either. - J&G had a BUNCH of the a short while ago & saw some others at the SAXET GUNSHOW last weekend.. - I doubt if they are all gone as of today. = The 1960s & early 70s pistols seem to be somewhat SCARCE, however.

He doesn't have a lot in stock right now but he has 17 round blued mags. Some of the best prices on magazines around.

    To ALL,

    Before I buy any mags, I still need a S&W 9x19mm PISTOL.

Anyone have one for sale at a DECENT PRICE?? = I've looked all over TX for an "old-school" ALL-metal DA/SA 9mm to convert to a .38 SUPER.
(BTW, the "conversion" is EASY & can be done in less than 2 hours with hand tools.)

    yours, satx
