    I'm not really seeing this as something the market needs but I always like innovation, even if it's technologically backwards.

    Looks interesting but I think I’d rather do a build on a Volquartsen Summit receiver if I’m going to do straight pull.

    Hadn't seen the ball bearing locking for a while. Straight pull is definitely faster than a normal bolt, but why not just get a semi-auto?

    At the 40 second mark, he says the locking system is patented. By who? Not Savage, certainly. That type of lock has been in use in the Fortner action for decades.

    If they licensed it from Fortner (or whoever Fortner got it from) this is some seriously, deliberately misleading advertising; they're taking credit for an innovation that does not belong to them. If they didn't license it, I don't know what's going on. Maybe/probably they got a patent they don't deserve.

    Either way, while I find the idea interesting I find the shenanigans offputting.

    Doesn't a patent run out after some years?

    I do agree it could be misleading in the advertising though.
