I just picked up new shoes for my M1911C and the ambi cut is a little thin (or my Ambi safety lever is sticking up just a touch). Looks like I need to sand about 1/16th of an inch (.0625) to make the Ambi cut deep anough that the safety will not bind when I tighten the grip to the frame. Other than digging my Dremel out of storage, any suggestions for sanding or filing the ambi cut a little deeper? I have never worked with G10 before.
