Nice, but not sure how it is much different than the XDM Competition Series I have...
Looks like a plastic frame (seams on front strap) and there’s somethings not quite right on the (proprietary) U-shaped, single screw gripzone. Kind of looks like closed cell foam on a mockup, really.
I’m wondering where this sits on the scale from mockup to production final gun.
As it's only 9mm (didn't know that!), if anything, I'd get a SA-35...XDM- striker fired .45acp
Prodigy- 1911 single-action-only in 9mm.
Looks to be a 2011 design (2 piece frame) instead of 1911 (one piece with grip panels). A Staccato clone.
seeing on some other sites that they believe it will run some sort of SA proprietary magazine, which is kind of a bummer. Would have been nice to have Staccato compatability

Actually there are a few, most being in the upper price range but Rock Island makes one. I have the Wilson Combat Experior compact X9 double stack. I can't figure I would be interested in the SA 2011. Saw the add the other day that Nighthawk has one now as well. Not a bunch of double stack 1911 9mm out there
Not seeing any old salts getting in on this one.
So, here goes….
They need to remove the 19 part of the model
As it does a disservice to 1911s.
$1500? My SAI 1911A1 National Match that went through the custom shop at SAI was $1500 10 years ago. That my friends is a 1911.
Here’s a pic. Nothing against a pseudo 1911 in
9mm. I’ve got a Colt Combat Commander single stack in 9mm.
But that should be strictly A 2011…..
Thanks for listening to a old man bitch! Ha!
Or just pointing out the obvious…
I’m shamelessly stealing someone else’s description. A double stack 1911 is just a fat 1911 a la Para Ordnance. A 2011 is a modular gun; the grip and frame rails are separate pieces a la STI’s design patent.…They need to remove the 19 part of the model As it does a disservice to 1911s.…
