    Yep, it's already gone.

I was the one who made it gone. :D

Pretty obvious that any buyer's remorse would be cured by putting in on the sales forum here if you need your money back and then some.

I have one of the newer Ruger All American rimfire bolt guns in 17HMR.
It's great but distinctly less so. The 77/22s are so much more solidly built and better machined.

    Good move on your part.
Mine shoots 3/4 to 1 inch at 50 yards with all sorts of ammo. 1/2" with good target stuff.
Squirrels HATE the CCI 710fps quiet ammo.

My 22mag I've shot less than the 22lr but one of it's special talents is to host a Picatinni rail that allows me to mount my IR Hunter night scope for coyotes. They jump straight up about 5 feet spinning like the cartoon Tasmanian devil!

    Oh...true story.
My black plastic stock was a little chalky and oxidized.
Some tire-shine stuff and fine still wool made it look new. Better living through polymers.

    And......if you are so inclined:

And the BX-15 mags are Goldilocks "Just Right"

    Simple question:
Is there a better built, reliable, accurate, no-longer built rimfire rifle for $500?
    The answer, IMO, is no.

    Takes superlative 10/22 mags.
    Takes great ruger scope rings.

    Grab it.

I have two 77/22s, a 22lr and a 22mag that are my go-to guns for just about anything.
    Both I had threaded.
    Love 'em.

What I really want is to find a canoe paddle Ruger in .17!
    Uncommon.
My old man has one in 17 Mach 2.
Probably not many of those floating around.

    Ok ok ok.
I'm a sucker for buying stuff.

At the New Braunfels show recently.....after seeing this thread.
    I bought a Ruger 77/17 stainless all-weather laminated stock with a 24" barrel.

Got it trimmed to 18" and threaded Friday.

    Shot it Sunday,
3/4" to 1 1/4 inch groups at my 100 yard range,

Shooting my hanging 1" to 4" 100 yard steel targets was boringly accurate.
    Never ever missed.

Ruger 77-series rimfire rifles are a solid buy. Two thumbs up!

Same pawn shop has another old Ruger 77/22, but this one is in .22LR and has walnut stock with blued steel. Their price is $425 - should I get it?
