Well, I have owned a Yugo SKS for many years now and the trigger group has always been a PITA to get back in. I don't shoot it too often but do take it out of storage now and again to clean and lubricate it. Little did I realize before tonight, no one ever told me before I heard it from the attached video as far as I recall, that the safety should be in the on position to get the trigger group to go back into an SKS. I am certain that I have gotten it in before with the safety off but only after several to many whacks each time that literally hurt my hand.Tonight after stripping my Yugo SKS for cleaning & lubrication as part of regular maintenance, I tried it the way mentioned in the video and it went right back in one easy whack with my palm as if charmed. Ignorance is not always bliss, especially when trying to disassemble and assemble guns; knowledge is king in those regards.
