    Interesting thread. I really need to get out and handle some more guns before I make my mind up too. The slide release on some pistols is just to difficult for me to one hand operate. I've had XDm's and XD's but passed those on to more loving homes. I was thinking G34. I'm thinking I might end up with a 1911 type pistol (either a pure 1911 or a variant) vs a glock. Something like the EAA Witness Match in 9mm for example.

    I shoot my carry Glock 19 at Shiloh every other Thursday and love it.
    I'm doing it for fun and practice primarily though.

    The slide release is a PITA to use on Glocks. They're microscopic. I'd train to close the slide by pulling it back, anyway.
