Asked the girl at Chili's about their masks. She said corporate was still going to require them for their help.

Very few customers had them on coming in the door.

I bet they open all the tables up though. Masks cost them nothing. Closed tables are another story.

This was in a smaller town btw.

Looking at One American News app on phone this AM and CDC (crazy doctors corporation) are now admitting masks are virtually (1.5%) ineffective against coronavirus covid 19. They cite data as others have that infections come and go regardless of mask usage. THEY CONCLUDED THAT THEY STILL RECOMMENDED THEM. We are wrong but we are consistent?

Nope... that's what they've said all along. Again... if you don't choose to wear a mask in HEB they also indicated that they will not escalate by tellasking you to leave the store. But they most likely will ask you to put a mask on. Annnndddd... Depending on location they may not even do that. If I lived in Austin I'd expect to be approached by a mask cop.

How about a lot over the weekend.

While statewide policy has changed, our store protocol has not. Mask use at our stores will remain (source emphasis). Our signs requiring mask use will remain posted at entrances and we will continue to make announcements in store.

They mentioned kindness. Well to paraphrase Forrest Gump kindness is as kindness does and I will not be wearing a mask and expecting them to be kind.

Very interesting that the data does not support the CDC conclusion.

”Progressives across the state [Texas], however, began to grow worried that they would now have to start to make their own decisions about their health. What's worse, they would have to take responsibility for their actions when it comes to where they go, whether or not they mask, and whether or not they social distance.”

I went to the Dentist today to get the barnacles cleaned off my choppers.

I walked in not wearing a mask, but had one in my hand.

The hygienist looked at me with dismay.

So I asked: Do you want me to put this on?

She replied: "Yes, that's what we prefer.

I took 6 steps into her work space.

She then said: "You may now take it off"

For the next hour and a half I didn't wear it.

    WTF?

Question is, did you ask her if she realized how stupid her request was? Follow up is crucial when dealing with drones.

Given my mouth would be filled with her wielding all sorts of sharp, pointy metal objects, no, no I didn't.

When I went to pay for her services, I had to it put the mask back on...doing this made me feel like I was in the movie "Idiocracy".

I'm going to really enjoy 'not' wearing masks after the 10th, but if some businesses...in fact any, still insist their customers wear masks, I'll treat them like I treat all 30.06 signed businesses by not ever darkening their doorsteps.

I'm gonna guess lefty places like hole foods (misspelled deliberately) will still insist on masks and other lefty businesses are gonna go full karen about mask wearing.

Cuz, hey it's their store and they can require you do anything they say, - ya gotta do 'the limbo' to get in our store or stick your middle finger up your butt (with your left hand of course) or...yeah, sure I do, ya stinkin commie fkwad. Fk you!

I'll be laughing my ass off when their customers start fighting back.

HooWeee, it's gonna be fun, fun, fun!
