Ranges longer than 100 yards near College Station?

As a new transplant to the area, can someone please point me to a nearby range where I can shoot steel out to 300 yards +?

Gunsmoke has a 200 yard range, but no steel <sniff>. That stuff's addicting...

Guess I need to make some friends with land (and steel).

Cawthon Cartridge Club is a members only range that has a lot of long range steel. Membership is a bit expensive but if you shoot a lot and live in the area it's worth it.

Thanks to jasont, I'm now a member at CCC, as it's only 20 minutes from home.

Unfortunately, the roads are flooded so I'll have to wait until the rain stops to head out there. On the bright side, they have steel out to 1K yards.

Always looking for new places to shoot around College Station.

I've never tried CCC (with it being a members place and all), but would like to hear what you have to say about it.

I do most of my shooting at Marksman Academy, but my membership is almost up, so I thought I'd look around.
