One more thing from the brain trust.
Looking about the inner webs for more ammo. New and reloaded.
I notice that in most cases .223 rem is a bit cheaper than 5.56mm. New or reloaded
I know I can shoot either, so is there a reason one is cheaper?
Or should I just be happy and go shooting
Found the biggest difference at LAX ammo

That was a good read. I guess since it won't hurt anything either way I'll go with price. I only kill paper and other fun targets. If Uncle Sam taught me nothing else, it's to determine POI and aim accordingly, and not waste time trying to bend the gun to fit every need.
    Thanks much

I usually buy 5.56 barrels and shoot 223 ammo. Just so that I have the ability to shoot either. POA and POI will differ with different bullet weights, brands etc etc, but we all already know this :-)

Most every "5.56" is actually .223 pressure wise, though some actual 5.56 will get out every now an again. Thats only a concern if you have an actual .223 chamber, but yours is a 5.56, so you can shoot whatever you want.

Shooting steel case will also save some money, juat stay far away from remanufactured ammo, or reloads you didn't load yourself
