Pronouns are now Verboten

Hahahahhahha. Having written hundreds of awards packages for the Air Force, I can tell you pronouns are the last thing that’re going influence who the quarterly award winner will be. Action/Impact/Result format in three categories: PERFORMANCE IN PRIMARY DUTY (6 lines), LEADERSHIP (4 lines), and SIGNIFICANT SELF-IMPROVEMENT or BASE/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT (2 lines).

The winner will have the most impressive accomplishments in the two lines allotted for SIGNIFICANT SELF-IMPROVEMENT or BASE/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.

As a voter on too many of these panels, it’s usually well known who will the winner will be before the nominations are received.

My drill sergeants used many descriptive words in place of pronouns to identify recruits.
