Not enough people pushed back on their rep's when Phelan started his push.

I know by the time I found out and had a conversation with my rep, Phelan pretty much had it locked up.

There are more similiarties than differences.

I thought there were too, but sadly I was mistaken.

I think the Republicans turned on Trump because they felt he no longer held the power and influence he did before November 7th. When they felt Biden was the frontrunner, I think they made the decision to stab Trump in the back. January the 6th was when it became apparent to everyone, including us.

Phelan was what’s-his-McNutt’s right hand man last session, so no wonder it continues. At least Pancho ain’t in the lege to chair the public safety committee again.

    I agree with you.

Trump has always been an outsider, a wild card. His and his "advisors" actions after November 7 did not help his case. It made it a lot easier to stab him in the back.

Biden represents an older class of Democrat, someone that they (Republicans) had worked with in the past before his dementia or senility. The question is does he still have any cognitive ability left?

With Trump, being a "wild card" was his strongest asset, but at the same time his biggest liability with Democrats and even Republicans.

I doubt Biden gets six months in office before they use the 25th Amendment against him. Just speculation, but Biden IMO, was nothing more than a figurehead for the Democratic Party to get the Democrats into office. Harris is the one to watch out for.

When will the Republicans learn that you can't always play nice? Does anyone believe for an instant that the Dems would appoint Republicans to positions like that? This session is going to be just like the last one.

There isn't a politician on either side that gives two hoots about any of us. They are in it for the power and to line their pockets.

I understand what you’re saying but still, voting red is our only hope.
And the turncoats in the US house and senate? The “republicans” need to know that we are no longer going to vote for their traitorous asses simply because “omergerd, the dims are so much worse” they have proven that they are no better. It will take sacking up for a lot of voters, but this lesser of two evils is just not cutting it when they prove they are the equal evil
