Import marks? Is there a letter stamped in the inletted sling area of the stock? Cartouches? Bore condition?

    TIA

As I stated in my post, the bore is clean and bright with good rifling. I don't see any import marks or cartouches other than the '89" on the rear of the stock. The sling area appears to have "TH" and a circle on it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. They don’t last long there. Found out that mine is apparently an import. I’m not sure how much that affects the value. The import mark was under the hand guard and was very faint. I will take another look under better light. Sure doesn’t affect the fun factor.

    Out here by the lake!
I suggest anyone ever selling a M1 carbine school themselves on M2 parts. A round bolt is were I start picking up any carbine. Next is to see if the trigger housing is M2. Finally the operating handle.

M2 parts demand a bit more money. Also to many of them together on a gun can get you in trouble.
