    A friend of my brothers lost a finger to a snapping turtle.
    I do a safety meeting/presentation on hand safety. It takes less than one minute.

    I stand in front of the trades and tell them to hold both hands up and repeat after me.

    “DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ANYWHERE YOU WOULD NOT PUT YOUR PENIS”

    If only he had been in my hand safety meeting….:clown:
    Three things caused. First it was on a slant bladed saw, next was it was a frozen shank and finally his finger got to close to the blade.

    I never care to work on a slanted blade saw, even before this happened. Every once in a while customers would want us to do stupid stuff on the saws. I was telling people no I like my fingers too much. Some would go get a store manager and they would come back with the customer bitching. I would tell them I’m not going to do anything to injure myself, you on the other hand are welcome to do it or STFU.
