Here is a recipe we've done a few times.

No need to follow it exactly, just suggestions for following.

Setting up variety of this tonight. Dutch oven is ready to go in a couple of hours.

    Good times with good folks.

Maybe the bastard I'll have a flying fifk
One of my favorite preparations was pheasant and stove top stuffing cooked in a Dutch oven until the stuffing got nice and crispy on the edges. Made for super moist pheasant too.

Got a call from a buddy. He has a Musterlander in training. Looks like I got invited to join for its first hunt this fall!

My favorite recipe is to make pheasant enchaladas. Crock pot the birds with rotel and beer. De-bone it and roll in tortillas. Pretty tasty.

Took some kids out today to see how dogs work.

Afterwards, we shot some clays in the back with the kids...and spent most of the time conversing how man, dog, and bird are tied together.

Still hoping we get horses on a hunt to lend witness to how it works.

From years back. . . . . . I don’t know if it is still operating or not.

There was a guide service which specialized in same-day FIVE State pheasant hunts.

Folks had to get licensed in TX, NM, CO, OK, & KS.

If limits in each state were 2 or 4/day; the 5 multiplier would give one a chance for a bunch of pheasants in 2 days.

See map pic below to see how it was done.

More time with some dogs today.

Training on live pigeons is going well.

Fall is not far off.... I have no doubt the young dogs are going to do well.
