I pass right over any and all replies to a thread when they are extremely over done. 5-10-15-20 paragraphs come on now really? Better to just start your own thread with your story or at least announce that your reply is gonna be a loooong story. Thanks to some and Tongue fart to the rest.

Back when I often made very long posts, I usually tried to do a three or four line condensed version at the top, labelling it "Executive Summary."

The cool kids can put a "tl;dr" at the bottom.

Either works.

I do the same. I read the first couple lines and if not captivated, I move one.

There is one member of another site I go to that anytime he starts or replies to a thread, it is a long page of text.
What does he say?? I have no idea because I just pass right on by.

It's kind of like reading members posts about all the new guns they're buying and then see the same members complain they don't have any money to waste on ammo to "just go shooting".
