I have a PAP pistol I converted to a registered SBR. I am going to have to dispose of it. I think there are only two safe things I can do, one would be to destroy the
receiver and sell the parts as a parts kit. The other would be to sell to a class3 transfer dealer? Do you know if there are any class 3 transfer dealers who
would take this on consignment? I'd prefer to do this rather than cut it up.

I should add that the compliance parts are 1. trigger group 2. midwest industries handguard 3. buttstock, pistol grip and muzzle device. It is legal to use foreign mags.

You can write to the ATF and have it removed from the NFA registry. Then it's just a regular rifle (and you can't convert it back to SBR without a new stamp).

No he would still have the short barrel.

He could put a 16"BBL on that would make it a regular rifle.

Under no circumstances would I contact ATF to remove it. There is no upside to this.

Sorry. In his for sale ad he says it is pinned and welded at 16". He's already made it into a legal carbine but hasn't taken it off the NFA registry. Hence my comment that, since it's already a 16" bbl, he could just take it off the registry and he'd have a normal rifle.

I wouldn't take if off the registry either if it were me.

Remove it from the registry and sell it as a rifle. You’ve already done the hard part, and had it pinned and welded. It’s no longer a SBR by definition.
