Just a curiosity question. Do you think think it's best to own multiple handguns in the same caliber or do you feel you should have several different caliber handguns in your collection?
The logistics of dealing with multiply types of ammunition are aggravating enough that I decide what to take to the range based on it. Today is .45 day, tomorrow is .380 day. This way I don't have a row of boxes taking up limited space. I wish I could just settle on 9mm exclusively, but it's not entirely practical with the carry weapons. I am working to whittle it down. All of my revolvers are in rimless calibers at least.

Do you feel there's a point where you have "too many" pistols in the same caliber? I know answers will vary, I just wanted to hear some different opinions.
    I've got 3 357 mags and 5 22LR.

My carry caliber is 9mm. Don't carry anything else, never have.
My range calibers are .45acp and .223 and .22lr
.380 is for the wife's carry
And last, 5.7x28 is the SHTF gun.

    Let’s see, my inventory includes:
    4 .22 LR
    4 .357 Magnum
    2 38 Special
    2 .44 Special
    2 .357 Maximum
    1 10mm
    1 .40 S&W (2 if you count the 10mm revo)
    1 9mm (3 if you count convertibles)
    5 .45 ACP (3 revolvers)
    1 .256 Magnum.

Hmm, seems I’m low on .38s at the moment and had better pick up another 10mm.

I could live just fine with ZERO 9mms in my life.

During and after the last ammo shortage, lots of people narrowed down their gun collections to a single caliber for handguns. I took the opposite approach and decided to make sure I had at least one gun in all the most popular cartridges. Now that 9mm is so hard to find some of those people are regretting that decision.
380 is the only caliber I have only one gun in. I got it years ago for times when anything larger wouldn't work. I now have a P938 which is as good for concealment as the .380.

If one .45 is good, two gives you a .90 if you can shoot that tight.

    So....how many does a hunnert+ give ya?

Askin' for a friend who just picked this one up....
