I have no duty to obey orders from someone without legal justification. If I'm legally required to do something, I will, but I'm not a servant and the government isn't my master. I will always ignore and oppose unlawful orders. "Just comply" is code for "accept tyranny." If I'm going to exercise and defend my second amendment right, I'm also going to exercise and defend my 1st, 4th, 5th, and other rights. It would be nice if cops didn't force me to make those decisions and just honored their oath, but I've noticed the cops are your best friend... As long as you do as you're told and don't stand up for yourself. If you do, it's a crapshoot from there.
Why does this say new member when I've been a member since 2013? Weird.
I open carry everywhere I go and rarely, if ever, have problems. I get a lot of compliments and thank you as well. Depending on where you live you may see it more or less, but remember that the reason is because only about 6% of Texans have a permit and many of those don't carry at all. And of those that do, most don't open carry so the likelihood of seeing someone (even if you could see a concealed gun) is low. But, I hear positive stories in Open Carry Texas all the time. The only problems are with a few bad departments, like Olmos Park
That is so, old and stupid. You don't get to decide what is legally justified is. The courts will. But you keep on talking tough. I am sure it impresses someone.
Because according to the system, you’ve only ever made 3 posts, and they were all tonight.
So the cop on the street gets to do whatever they want until a court says otherwise? Got it. You are the law.
Even the military doesn't have to follow unlawful orders.

My Son "belongs to" a fairly large municipal police agency in nearby Louisiana. Their official policy is to completely ignore O C of non-criminal Citizens. leVieux
