I remember having nuclear drills in grade school where we would all get under a desk. Not to say that would have been effective, but what nuclear scare at schools do children have today?

We had tornado drills. But, yeah. Same worthless "feel good maneuvers".

I was living around Los Angeles (the Valley and Hollywood to be exact) at the time, worthless and feel good went hand in hand.

The younger generation does not fear nuclear war. They don't have movies touting the Red Menace. The things they fear are Global Warming and whether they have a good internet connection or not.

They don't do drills today in schools because no one thinks they will work in schools, in fact most folks know they will not work in schoolos since they are some of the crappiest built buildings in the USA.

Anyway, let's face it, we are a lot more knowledgeable about nuclear weapons than we were in the 50s & 60s. Today, if you want to try to be a survivor you can buy nuclear fallout shelters readily ( see: https://risingsbunkers.com/, https://www.disasterbunkers.com/, https://www.safecastle.com/pages/falloutshelters just to list a few sites selling them) they are big business. You can also get air filtration systems, gas masks, chem/bio/radiation suits - all regularly for sale. People are stocked up on other survival gear and supplies like guns, ammo, water, water filtration systems, food (long term storage type), medical supplies and the like. Why is that if people today,do not fear nuclear attack? Don't you think the kids in families so prepared fear nuclear war; don't you think those who know about these survival gimmicks and who cannot afford them also fear nuclear war.

The news everyday bombards us with stuff about nuclear powers on the verge of war, I certainly seem to remember a lots of libs screaming Trump just started WWIII with Iran, others less than a month before saying Trump is about to start one with China over trade, others claiming Trump is sure to start one with the fat faced boy ruler in N. Korea - the same guy who until recently was lobbing ballistic missile around to test them out. Don't let me forget, there is the fact that China has been building islands on which to put military air bases. Its the libturds/media screaming this and the younger generation tends to listen to the them as if gospel so to speak, at least until they have to get jobs and earn a living. Back in the 50s & 60s, we thought we would be protected by ducking and hiding under a desk with our coats over our heads; we thought we could win a nuclear was and be virtually untouched. Today the fear is the annihilation of the planet with a few folks who can afford the fallout shelters and such thinking they will have a world on which to survive.

The fact is, the threat is still there, bigger than before; it is just a format different than before. So too is the fear of it in a different format but the fear is still there in young, middle aged and old alike.
