    Good morning. I took a .38 Special revolver to a gunsmith for some trigger work, and when I picked it up he gave me three casings from his test firing of the pistol. As I'm looking at them, I don't recognize the manufacturer. The casings are marked: 1) R A 6 7, 2) WCC 1988, and 3) W-Super-W 38 SPL + P. The +P I get but the rest of these markings are strange to me. Does anyone have any info. on these. Thanks.

    Gunz are icky.
    WCC =Winchester Cartridge Company
    The WCC marking is used on military ammo.

    W-super-X = Winchester

    Not sure about the RA. Probably Remington Arms military ammo. 67 = 1967. Year it was produced.

    Willkommen from the big town. WCC is Western Cartridge Company ( a subsidiary of Olin), made in 1988 and the brass is military, made in 1988 The R A 67, 2 is also military brass from Remington Arms, the third one is probably Winchester Western, which is also Olin. Yoiu can glean all this info from Mr. Google.
